On Thursday, June 15, 18 NHRLA members and staff hosted nearly 400 state representatives for a legislative luncheon at the State House Plaza in Concord, N.H.
During the event, NH House and Senate members were invited to dine on local food truck options while engaging in industry-driven discussions about NHRLA legislative priorities, among other things. As they ate, legislators had the chance to visit five table displays for a more in-depth look at the industry and its local impact. The tables, set up by NHRLA member businesses, sparked many conversations, including a significant interest in addressing issues members face with current SPF lumber grading.
Members who set up displays included East Coast Lumber & Building Supply Company, LaValley Building Supply, Huber Engineered Woods, Coastal Specialty Forest Products, and Belletete’s, which recently celebrated its 125th anniversary.
The NHRLA Legislative Committee also displayed two welcome boards listing industry statistics, including a list of every member business in the state and a map indicating each location. Photos from the event may be viewed below.
