LBM Advantage, one of the nation’s premier lumber and building cooperatives, has announced that Richard Herrington of Ed Herrington Inc., has been Chairman of the Board. Herrington served as the Vice-Chairman for the last two years. The announcement was made at the Feb. 27, Shareholders Meeting at LBM Advantage’s 2023 Annual Buying Show at the Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Herrington succeeds Bill Newman of Oxford Lumber Co. in Oxford, Ala., who served as chairman since 2021. Herrington is a fourth-generation owner and Vice President/General Manager of his organization, a lumber and building retailer with locations in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. Herrington’s Vice Chairman Chris O’Neill of Kellogg Supply Co. in Manteo, N.C.

Herrington participated as Chairman at his first LBM Advantage board meeting on Wednesday, March 1.
