The New York Long Island Association (NYLILA) held its annual meeting on Thursday, October 9 at TopGolf in Holtsville, N.Y. Folks enjoyed a barbeque dinner awards ceremony and simulated golf.
The evening started with the election of officers, followed by the 2025 Lumber Person of the Year award to Mike Bindler of East Islip Lumber (TSG). Mike was joined by his family and colleagues. Joe Ditillo from East Islip Lumber introduced Mike and spoke of Mike’s great customer service and commitment to the industry.

The new board of officers include President Anthony Capuano of REEB Millwork Corp., First Vice President Sean Murphy of Huber Engineered Woods, Secretary Alex Kelley of Parksite, Treasurer Marc Gattuso of BlueLinx, and Ex-Officio Chip Penny of Coastal Forest Products. For the board of directors: Eric Raynor of Riverhead Building Supply, Matt Paskoff of East Islip Lumber Company, and Lance Wagner of Glendale Lumber Company.
