NY Updates Sexual Harassment Policy

Last week, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced changes to the state’s model sexual harassment policy.

Employers are required to adopt the model policy or one that meets or exceeds the model policy and train their employees at least once a year. Be sure to review the new model policy and make the necessary changes to yours so you are in compliance.

The state has also provided training videos in multiple languages that meet all the training requirements except that is it NOT interactive. To be compliant with the training requirement, you would need to require employees to answer questions while watching the video, allow them to ask questions, and give feedback, all of which can be done with this PDF answer sheet.
