NNY Annual 2024

The Northern New York Lumber Dealers Association (NNYLDA) hosted its Annual Summer Outing on Wednesday and Thursday, August 21 and 22, in the scenic 1000 Islands region on the St. Lawrence River. More than 100 attendees, with representatives from 17 retail yards and 12 vendors, gathered at the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel in Clayton, N.Y. Participants enjoyed golf, the annual dinner, and fishing, making it a memorable event for members from across NNYLDA and other Upstate New York regions.

Annual Meeting – Wednesday Evening
Following the golf tournament, members gathered at the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel at 4:30 p.m. for a reception and the NNYLDA Annual Dinner. Due to weather conditions, the planned riverboat tour was canceled, but attendees enjoyed a relaxing evening at the luxurious hotel with an extended open bar. NNYLDA was honored to have NRLA President Rita Ferris and NRLA Chair Doug Ford, along with his wife, Lisa, attend the dinner. Both shared remarks and joined in the evening’s festivities.

Fishing Tournament – Thursday
Thirteen boats set out from various harbors for a day of fishing in both U.S. and Canadian waters. The weather cooperated perfectly, creating ideal conditions for a fantastic day on the water. By 1 p.m., the boats returned, and participants gathered for a resort-prepared shore dinner to share stories and relive the highlights of the past two days. Tim Clark of O.D. Greene Lumber & Hardware, the NNYLDA Fishing Chair and overall event organizer, once again delivered a first-class experience for everyone involved.
