NJBMDA Leadership Meets with Assemblyman Bergen to Discuss Housing Industry Concerns
WEST ORANGE, N.J.—New Jersey Building Materials Dealers Association (NJBMDA) President TJ Shaheen, executive vice president of Builders’ General Supply, and Legislative Chair Steve Gerard of Reeb Millwork met with New Jersey Assemblyman and Minority Whip Brian Bergen, R-126th Legislative District, for a luncheon discussion on issues affecting small businesses serving the state’s housing industry.
Shaheen and Gerard expressed appreciation for the time spent and the opportunity to share mutual concerns, highlighting optimism for an uptick in the local housing economy as interest rates begin to fall. They noted this could make real estate transactions more affordable for first-time homebuyers and help existing homeowners update or refresh their properties.
