Engineered to deliver the next generation of impact resistance, Diamond Glass is a laminated glass that is nearly half the weight of most impact glass on the market. It provides exceptional protection against hurricane-force winds and intrusions, as well as noise pollution and UV exposure.
Diamond Glass is up to 37% thinner than traditional laminated glass and reduces material use by as much as 40% per square foot. At almost half the weight, Diamond Glass can also offer significant labor and transportation cost-saving benefits, requiring fewer people to install the products and less fuel to deliver them.
Diamond Glass pairs ultra-low iron soda-lime glass with ultra-thin architectural glass from Corning Incorporated, a world-leading innovator in glass, ceramic, and materials science. The combination creates an inherently more durable and scratch-resistant glass compared to traditional laminated glass while significantly reducing the thickness of the product. Diamond Glass also features exceptional clarity, even with tints and high-performance Low-E coatings.
