“Building Bright Futures” Job Fair: A Can’t-Miss Opportunity for Vermont’s Youth

The Vermont Retail Lumber Dealers Association (VRLDA) is proud to announce the return of its highly anticipated event, the “Building Bright Futures” Job Fair, now in its third consecutive year. Scheduled for March 26, 2024, at the Vermont State University, Randolph Campus, this year’s fair promises to be an enlightening and engaging experience for all attendees.

Designed to showcase the abundant career opportunities within the building materials industry, the “Building Bright Futures” Job Fair welcomes technical and career center students from across the state. These students will explore a dynamic and interactive display featuring various facets of the industry, including wholesale distribution, architecture, design, accounting, management, trucking, retail sales, and more.

The event agenda includes a comprehensive tour of the VT State University Campus, providing students with a glimpse into the academic environment and facilities available to them. Following the tour, attendees will hear presentations from VRLDA member companies, shedding light on the diverse career paths available within the industry.

In addition to these enlightening sessions, the “Building Bright Futures” Job Fair will facilitate crucial dialogues between VRLDA board officials and government representatives. Topics of discussion will include industry recruitment needs, opportunities for youth employment, and strategies for collaboration between VRLDA and the state to support the next generation of industry professionals.
