The Mid-Hudson Lumber Dealers Association (MHLDA) proudly celebrated its 2025 Lumber Person of the Year, Michael Beckerle of Beckerle Lumber, during a festive gathering on Thursday, October 30. The event took place at the Patriot Lounge in Stony Point, N.Y., where members, industry colleagues, and supporters joined in the evening’s festivities.

Guests enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere filled with camaraderie, featuring unique activities like axe throwing and golf simulators, both crowd favorites that kept the energy high throughout the night. A standout moment of the evening was Michael’s heartfelt acceptance speech, during which he paid tribute to the many friendships and partnerships that have supported his journey in the lumber and building materials industry. From his high school friends to trusted business partners, dedicated family, and loyal Beckerle Lumber staff, it was clear that Michael’s impact reaches well beyond the yard.

In addition to the award presentation, the evening featured the election of officers, a past president recognition ceremony, and thoughtful remarks from NRLA President Rita Ferris and NRLA Chair Doug Ford of Curtis Lumber.
