2023 Lavitt & Lusby Memorial Scholarship
- Award two merit scholarships of $2,000 for post-secondary education.
- Cultivate future leaders and dedicated employees for the building materials industry.
- Instill interest and awareness in the building material industry, as well as the New York and Long Island Lumber Association
ELIGIBILITY:
- An employee or family member of an employee who works for a lumber or building material dealer that is a member of the New York & Long Island Lumber
Association (NYLILA). - Have maintained a minimum of a 2.5 equivalent grade point average in high school or college.
- Applicant must be a recent high school graduate or a graduating senior applying for matriculated status to a post-secondary college, university, or technical school. Those currently enrolled in college may apply.
- Past scholarship recipients are not eligible.
EVALUATION PROCESS:
- Scholarship Committee reviews all applications.
- Top three applicants may be granted a personal interview with the scholarship committee and the NYLILA president.
- Final selection and winner notification.
