Course Description:
- This training class includes an introduction to construction drawings and developing a take-off and/or estimate.
- Develop an operational understanding of drawings and their use and learn to read and interpret the drawings.
- Explore how to use floor plans, elevations, sections and details to figure out a project’s material needs.
- Develop efficient estimating skills (including consistency and documentation) and understand best practices.
- Examine how to avoid the common pitfalls in estimating and quantity take-offs.
Who should attend:
The Basic/Beginner Blueprint Reading and Estimating training program is designed for participants with little or no experience with drawings and take-offs who need to learn the fundamentals of blueprint reading and estimating material take-offs.
