Course Description:
This training program will introduce participants to the products and processes used in residential and light commercial construction. Terminology, abbreviations and nomenclature will be presented. The units of measurement will be discussed, (linear, area, volume) and what each is used for and how to perform necessary math calculations.

About the Instructor:
Randall (Randy) Hajeck has over 3 decades in the construction industry, both as an owner of his own company and also as an Adjunct Instructor at Hudson Valley Community College in the Civil Engineering and Construction Technologies Departments. Randy has been providing the following classes: Introduction to Building Materials, Basic/Beginner Blueprint Reading & Material Estimating, Intermediate Blueprint Reading & Material Estimating and Advanced Blueprint Reading & Material Estimating, to independent lumber & building material dealers since 2005.
